CIMA+ in Edmonton is seeking an Intermediate Electrical Technologist to join its Buildings team, contributing to electrical system design for diverse building projects across Alberta. The role blends technical design, coordination, and field support with a hybrid work model.

You will use Revit and AutoCAD, collaborate with engineers and disciplines, travel to site for reviews, and help grow the Edmonton practice while delivering high-quality engineering solutions.

Qualifications

• 4+ years experience using Revit and AutoCAD in building design.
• Available to work outside of the office on an occasional basis.
• Valid Canadian driver’s licence with access to transportation for site reviews and inspections.
• Excellent communication skills (verbal and written) in English.

Responsibilities

• Design, modeling, and drafting lighting, power, communication, security, and fire alarm systems using Revit and AutoCAD.
• Support electrical design development through drafting, modelling, and implementation of design direction from senior engineers.

• Conduct site reviews and field investigations across Alberta for renovations and construction.

CIMA+ is seeking an Intermediate Electrical Technologist to join our Buildings team in Edmonton. In this role, you will contribute to the design and delivery of electrical systems for a wide variety of building projects across Alberta. You will work closely with engineers, technologists, and other disciplines to deliver high-quality engineering solutions while supporting the continued growth of CIMA+'s local presence in the region.

This role offers a balance of technical design, project coordination, and field engagement, including site visits and construction support for projects throughout Alberta. You will have the opportunity to take part in our hybrid work model that includes flexible work hours, working from home and in our Edmonton AB office.

Primary Responsibilities

• Design, modeling, and drafting lighting, power, communication, security, and fire alarm system using the latest versions of Revit and AutoCAD
• Supporting electrical design development through drafting, modelling, and implementation of design direction from senior engineers.
• Working with seniors to ensure that all aspects of the design are coordinated with other disciplines
• Assisting with electrical design calculations, equipment layouts, and system coordination under the guidance of senior engineers.
• Conducting site reviews and field investigations throughout Alberta to support renovation and construction projects.
• Continued professional development through participation in internal and external learning opportunities.
• Directly engage with clients to understand project needs and maintain strong business relationships
• Contribute to the continued growth of the Edmonton Buildings practice

Qualifications

• 4+ years experience using Revit and AutoCAD supporting building design; The ability to adapt to and adhere to internal and external REVIT/CAD and design standards
• Available to work outside of the office on an occasional basis
• Valid Canadian drivers licence with access to transportation for site reviews and inspections
• Excellent communication skills (both verbal and written) in the English language.
