Job description

Intermediate Accountant

Reporting To: Controller, Tle’ Nax T’awei Limited Partnership

Position Type: Full Time Permanent

POSITION SUMMARY:Reporting to the Controller of The Tle’ Nax T’awei Limited Partnership, the Intermediate Accountant is responsible for performing Accounting/Finance functions and other related duties as appropriate for TTLP and its Corporate Group which includes subsidiary Companies.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Accounts Payable and Receivable
• Reviewing and processing invoices and payments
• Monthly account reconciliations
• Maintaining filing systems for invoices, cheque copies, contracts and bank deposits
• Assisting in month end close and year end preparation for audits
• Assisting with collections on overdue accounts/ A/R Customer Maintenance
• Matching of POs and Receipts to vouchers
• Full cycle accounting support (month end journal entries; G/L Reconciliations)

Knowledge and Technical Skills:

• Strong computer skills with extensive working experience with spreadsheet applications such as Microsoft Excel
• Experience with Sage 300/Accpac (or similar software) preferred

Education and work experience:

• High School diploma
• Minimum of 3 years experience in the finance and accounting field
• Excellent knowledge and experience related to the appropriate usage of technology and information systems

Additional Information:

This is a fulltime permanent position with an attractive benefits package. The salary range for this position is $55,000 - $65,000 per year and will be commensurate with experience.
