Job summary

Ateko is hiring for an Automation Engineer in the Remote Canada market. You will design, develop, deploy, and maintain automation solutions that connect ServiceNow, Azure, Microsoft 365, and other enterprise systems, focusing on secure, scalable implementations.

Work with a collaborative Automation Team to deliver AI-enabled workflows, modern DevOps practices, and continuous improvements across client projects. This role supports remote work with strong growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Bilingual in French and English.
• Hands-on software development to design, test, and support production-ready solutions.
• Experience delivering automation, cloud, backend, and API integrations.
• Proficiency with cloud environments, source control, automated testing, and CI/CD.
• Ability to independently solve complex technical challenges within enterprise processes.
• Experience with AI-assisted engineering tools and strong collaboration, documentation, and problem-solving skills.
• If English is required: English is required to communicate with clients and partners outside Quebec.

• Utilize AI, provide post-deployment support, troubleshoot complex issues, and drive continuous improvement of engineering and automation practices.

You will work on implementing ServiceNow with some of the world's biggest brands and your success will be measured by the quality of your technical judgment, your software development mindset and your ability to leverage artificial intelligence effectively and thoughtfully without becoming overly reliant on it.

YOUR TEAM

We hire top-tier talent and give them the space to shine. You will collaborate closely with Team Leads, Product Managers, Scrum Masters, business stakeholders and cross-functional teams including Security, IAM, Cloud Platform, ServiceNow, Operations, and other technical teams reporting to the Automation Team Lead. No egos, just smart people solving complex problems with the mission to understand and clarify business needs, design pragmatic solutions, build and deploy them, provide production support and continuously improve them to make them more reliable, scalable, and maintainable.

WHAT TO EXPECT

Your day to day will look like this:

• Design, develop, deploy, and maintain automation solutions that integrate with multiple enterprise systems and platforms.

THE EXPERIENCE WE ARE LOOKING FOR

The following experience will help you succeed in this role. However, if you don't meet all these criteria, but have experience in ServiceNow implementation, we will be happy to consider your application, because we're looking for potential first.

• Bilingualism (French and English).
• Strong hands‑on software development expertise, with the ability to design, develop, review, test, maintain, and support production‑ready solutions.
• Experience delivering automation, cloud, backend, and software solutions, including API integrations and enterprise system connectivity.
• Proficiency with cloud environments, source control, automated testing, CI/CD practices, and post‑release support and troubleshooting.
• Ability to independently solve complex technical challenges, navigate ambiguity, and work effectively within enterprise processes and governance.
• Demonstrated use of AI‑assisted engineering tools, combined with strong judgment, communication, collaboration, documentation, and problem‑solving skills.
• If english is required: “English is required to communicate with clients and partners located outside Quebec.”

Asset: Experience with modern Microsoft and enterprise technologies, including Azure, ServiceNow, Microsoft 365, AI integration, DevOps practices, security, and the development of scalable automation and internal business solutions.
