We are currently seeking an experienced Integration Specialist to join our Digital Solutions team, focused on supporting a large-scale Advanced Metering Infrastructure (AMI) system integration project. The client uses TIBCO BusinessWorks 6 as its Enterprise Service Bus (ESB) to connect critical systems such as CIS, MDMS, OMS, UIQ, and enterprise data platforms.
• Develop, deploy, and support integration services using TIBCO BusinessWorks 6.x, TIBCO EMS, and related TIBCO suite components within an ESB architecture.• Design and implement real-time and batch integrations across enterprise utility systems, including Itron IEE, UIQ, CIS, and Data Warehouse environments.• Develop both synchronous and asynchronous service flows using SOAP/REST web services, JMS messaging, and file-based integrations.• Lead the design and documentation of end-to-end integration flows, including system mappings, service contracts, message structures, and exception handling strategies.• Collaborate with solution architects, developers, testers, and utility stakeholders to ensure robust and scalable integration solutions that meet business and operational needs.• Develop and execute integration test scenarios, support automated testing practices, and perform validation using SoapUI, unit testing, and test harnesses.• Support integration runtime management and troubleshooting using TIBCO monitoring tools.• Ensure compliance with data governance, security policies, and performance standards in the integration layer.• Provide input and guidance during architectural reviews, deployment planning, and post-go-live support phases.
All candidates should meet the following requirements to be considered for this opportunity.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent experience.• Minimum 3+ years of experience in TIBCO BusinessWorks 6.x, including hands-on development and deployment in enterprise environments.• Strong experience in TIBCO EMS, JMS messaging patterns, REST/SOAP APIs, and XML/JSON message transformations.• Experience with integration within AMI environments or utility domains, particularly with Itron IEE MDMS and UIQ.• Solid understanding of enterprise integration patterns (EIPs), service orchestration, error handling, and retry logic.• Proven ability to write and lead detailed integration design documentation including WSDLs, schemas, mapping specs, and sequence diagrams.
• Experience integrating with and managing large-volume transactional flows from and to enterprise data warehouses.• Familiarity with tools such as SoapUI, Postman, Git, JIRA, and CI/CD pipelines.• Strong troubleshooting and debugging skills with ability to analyze ESB logs and performance metrics.• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.• US citizen, Canadian citizen, or permanent resident required.
Preferred requirements:• Experience in utility or energy domains, particularly with AMI, CIS, ADMS, or DERMS systems.• Familiarity with utility protocols and standards (CIM, Multispeak).• Experience with cloud or hybrid deployments.• Understanding of security standards such as SSL/TLS, OAuth, and WS-Security within integration contexts.• Prior experience with Banner CIS. • Prior involvement in post-go-live hypercare support and knowledge transfer in enterprise projects.
