Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; some college education or a relevant certificate is advantageous.
  • Previous administrative or office support experience, preferably within the insurance or financial services industry.
  • Strong organizational skills and exceptional attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and data entry accuracy.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize tasks, and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Assist underwriters in processing new insurance applications and renewals.
  • Gather required documentation from brokers, agents, and clients.
  • Perform data entry and maintain accurate records in the underwriting system.
  • Prepare summaries of risk information and basic risk assessments for underwriter review.
  • Respond to general inquiries from internal and external stakeholders regarding application status.
  • Manage filing systems, correspondence, and other administrative duties to support the underwriting department.
