Position Details
  • Title: Insurance Sales Director
  • Reports To: National VP Wholesaler Development & Advisor Engagement
  • Department: Individual Sales
  • Term: Permanent Full-Time
  • Location: Toronto
  • Work Arrangements: Work from home 100%. Occasional in-person meetings in Waterloo, ON, or other locations within Waterloo Region. Travel may be required.
The Opportunity

We are seeking an Insurance Sales Director to join our growing Individual Sales team. This role is vital within our Life and Health Insurance division, focusing on business development and account management in the MGA channel. Responsibilities include providing educational presentations, case consultations, sales strategies, and product marketing support to drive division growth.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Develop and maintain relationships with insurance licensed advisors.
  2. Meet or exceed sales targets and advisor relationship goals for various insurance products.
  3. Engage with producers through meetings, seminars, and consultations, both virtually and in person.
  4. Deliver presentations to groups of advisors and distributors.
Qualifications
  • Post-secondary education or relevant professional designations (e.g., CFP, CLU, CHFC, TEP).
  • Current Life License is a strong asset.
  • At least 5 years of experience in the financial industry, particularly in marketing to independent advisors in life insurance.
  • Previous sales and sales management experience.
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle.
  • Strong negotiation skills.
  • Proficiency with MS Office Suite.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Strong interpersonal, analytical, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, and travel up to 65%, possibly internationally.
