Reports To : National VP Wholesaler Development & Advisor Engagement

Term : Permanent Full-Time

Location : Toronto

Work Arrangements : You will work from your home office 100% of the time. You may be required to be in person at our office in Waterloo, ON, or another assigned location within the Waterloo Region on an as-needed basis. Sales-related roles may require travel based on the assignment.

The Opportunity : Equitable is growing! We are looking for an Insurance Sales Director to join our Individual Sales team. The Insurance Sales Director plays a critical role within our Individual Life and Health Insurance division. You will be responsible for business development and account management in the MGA channel, providing educational presentations, case consultations, sales strategies, and marketing support to drive sales. We are looking for someone proactive, driven, and passionate about Insurance Sales. We want to hear from you! What you will be doing :

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with insurance-licensed advisors.
  • Meet or exceed sales targets and the number of productive advisor relationships for the insurance product line (Universal Life, Whole Life, Term, and CI).
  • Build relationships with producers through one-on-one meetings, both over Zoom and in-person seminars and case consultations.
  • Deliver presentations to small and large groups of advisors and distributors.

What you will bring :

  • Postsecondary education and/or applicable professional designation (e.g., CFP, CLU, CHFC, TEP).
  • Current Life License is a strong asset.
  • Minimum 5 years of financial industry experience, with experience in marketing to independent advisors in a life insurance environment.
  • Previous sales and sales management experience required.
  • Valid driver’s license and a well-maintained vehicle required.
  • Proficiency in office software including PowerPoint, Outlook, Word, and Excel.
  • Superior time management and organizational skills.
  • Highly developed interpersonal, analytical, and presentation skills (both written and oral).
  • Ability to work varying schedules, including evenings and weekends; travel, including international travel, may comprise up to 65% of the role.
