Job summary

HUB International Burnaby Still Creek is seeking an Insurance Advisor, Personal Lines, to join our Client Service Centre. You will handle inbound and outbound calls, assess client insurance needs, and provide coverage recommendations while cross-selling other products.

You will grow in a fast-paced sales-focused environment with dedicated training, support, and opportunities for career progression within a leading Canadian insurance broker.

Qualifications

• Level 2 General Insurance License or Level 1 with plan to upgrade to Level 2 within 6 months.
• 1+ years of auto insurance experience.
• 1-2 years of customer service experience.

Responsibilities

• Handle inbound and outbound calls from the Client Service Centre in Burnaby.
• Provide coverage recommendations based on clients’ needs and cross-sell other insurance products.
• Assist clients with remarketing, new business, service renewals, and endorsements.
• Work in a fast-paced, sales-focused environment with opportunities for new business bonuses.

Our Burnaby Still Creek head office location is centrally located in the Willingdon Business Park near Brentwood Town Centre. This location is easily accessible by the Gilmore sky train station with many shops, restaurants and other amenities nearby.

Requirements

• Level 2 General Insurance License or Level 1 and willing to obtain their Level 2 within 6 months
• 1+ years of auto insurance experience
• 1-2 years of customer service experience

Asset Experience That Will Make You Stand Out

• Industry designation an asset
• 6+ months of habitational insurance experience
• Regular market experience e.g. Aviva, Wawanesa, Intact, Gore, Family, etc. with dwellings

A Day in the Life

• You’ll be taking inbound and outbound calls from our Client Service Centre located in our Burnaby Still Creek Head Office
• Provide clients with coverage recommendations based on their insurance needs and cross sell other insurance products

The expected salary range for this position is $50,000 to $55,000 and will be impacted by factors such as the successful candidate’s skills, experience and working location, as well as the specific position’s business line, scope and level. HUB International is proud to offer comprehensive benefit and total compensation packages which could include extended health benefits, disability insurance, RRSP matching, paid-time-off benefits, and eligible bonuses, and commissions for some positions.
