Job summary

CGIC, located in Victoria, is seeking an Associate Insurance Advisor II for an office-based, Regular Full-Time role focused on sales and service of personal lines including auto and home. A General Insurance license is required, with provincial licensing to maintain credentials.

Ideal candidates have 2+ years in insurance with sales experience; a Life license is a plus. You will build client relationships, assess needs, and help grow agency sales while meeting underwriting guidelines.

Qualifications

• General Insurance license is required.
• A Life license is an asset.
• Meet provincial licensing requirements to obtain and maintain licenses.
• A minimum of 2 years insurance industry experience including sales preferred.
• In-depth knowledge of auto and property insurance products and strong underwriting skills.

Responsibilities

• Sales, service and profitable growth of personal lines and specialty lines products.
• Advise and recommend coverages and policies that meet client needs.
• Prospect for all lines of business by identifying additional products/services for clients.
• Complete front line risk assessment and selection following underwriting guidelines.
• Complete inspections and re-inspections.
• Aim to achieve client service, sales, quality and productivity goals.
• Respond to client questions, resolve complaints and escalate as needed.
• Proactively complete client reviews on auto, home, farm and/or commercial portfolios.
