CDN Controls Ltd is seeking Journeyperson and Apprentice Electricians (3rd & 4th Year) to support projects in Fort St John, BC. The roles require strong instrumentation knowledge, safety awareness, and hands-on calibration and commissioning capabilities.

Competitive hourly pay with project-based overtime, plus benefits and RRSP matching. Applicants from other locations are welcome to apply, with relocation consideration as needed.

Competenze

• Trade ticket as an Apprentices or Journeyperson Instrumentation Technician is required.
• Experience in oil & gas construction or maintenance is an asset.
• Valid certifications (H2S, First Aid, OSSA Fall Protection, Aerial Work Platform, CSO, CSTS) are preferred.

Mansioni

• Follow all EHS policies and procedures as directed by the HSE department.
• Assist with installation, maintenance, and replacement of equipment including instrumentation tubing and RTUs.
• Perform calibrations using test equipment and work on pressure, level, and temperature transmitters.
• Troubleshoot, repair, and commission instrumentation systems with minimal supervision.
• Collect QAQC documentation and support project reporting and compliance.
• Demonstrate knowledge of gas detection systems and safety shutdown devices.
• Work safely in various environments and heights while following SOPs.

Salary Range: $24.00 To $42.00 Hourly

CDN is a recognized industry leader in the energy services sector. CDN is a full-service provider with expertise in Electrical & Instrumentation maintenance, renewables/solar, major projects, combustion & emissions reduction, and measurement.

• Role: Journeyperson and Apprentice Electricians (3rd & 4th Year)
• Location: Fort St John, BC preferred. Applicants from other locations are welcome to apply
• Shift: Varies based on project
• Overtime:Project based
• Pre-Employment Condition: Pre-employment D&A test required

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Follow all Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) policies and procedures as directed by the HSE department.
• Assist with installation, maintenance, and replacement of equipment, including instrumentation tubing and advanced systems like RTUs and compressor panels.
• Perform calibrations independently using basic and advanced test equipment such as Hart Communicators and confidently work on pressure, level, and temperature transmitters.
• Troubleshoot, repair, and commission instrumentation systems with minimal supervision; assist in ordering and putting equipment into service.
• Collect QAQC documentation and support Project Managers with project-related reporting and compliance.
• Demonstrate strong knowledge of gas, LEL, and fire detection systems, including setup and calibration of safety shutdown devices.
• Work safely in various environments—including extreme weather and heights—while adhering to all safety protocols and SOPs.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

• Trade ticket - Apprentices or Journeyperson Instrumentation Technician.
• A valid Class 5 license with a clean driver abstract.
• Valid H2S, First Aid, OSSA Fall Protection, Aerial Work Platform, CSO, and CSTS.
• Experience in the Oil and Gas industry in construction or maintenance is considered an asset.
• Ability to work in various working conditions ranging from outdoors to indoors in a variety of weather conditions and working from heights as needed.
