Base pay range

CA$55.00/hr - CA$65.00/hr

CDN is a recognized industry leader in the energy services sector. CDN is a full-service provider with expertise in Electrical & Instrumentation maintenance, renewables/solar, major projects, combustion & emissions reduction, and measurement.

  • Location: Kitimat, BC
  • Shift: 28/7
  • Pre-Employment Condition: Pre-employment D&A test required
  • Additional Details: Relocation assistance provided. Long term/local opportunity in partnership with LNG Canada.
Responsibilities
  • Install and Maintain Electrical & Instrumentation Systems: Handle EMT piping, VFDs, MCCs, batteries, voltage regulators, heat trace, instrumentation tubing, and production facility equipment including compressor panels and BMS.
  • Perform Preventive and Corrective Maintenance: Conduct scheduled and emergency maintenance on electrical and instrumentation systems to ensure optimal performance and reduce downtime.
  • Ensure Safety and Compliance: Adhere to company safety policies and environmental procedures, implement electrical lockout/tagout (LOTO), and follow all safety practices when working on live systems or under hazardous conditions.
  • Interpret Technical Documentation: Read and apply electrical drawings, circuit diagrams, instrumentation schematics, and Canadian Electrical Code standards during installation and troubleshooting.
  • Test and Calibrate Equipment: Use multimeters, Hart Communicators, and other advanced testing/calibration tools to measure voltage, current, resistance, and to calibrate various instruments.
  • Support Installation and Troubleshooting Activities: Assist and sometimes lead in installing, repairing, and troubleshooting control systems, transformers, PLCs, fire alarms, and HVAC components.
  • Documentation and Project Coordination: Manage documentation including QAQC, material requisitions, and project-related administrative tasks.
  • Team Collaboration and Guidance: Collaborate with journeymen and apprentices, provide assistance, and receive guidance when necessary to ensure safe and accurate task execution.
Job requirements
  • A valid Class 5 license with a clean driver abstract.
  • Valid H2S, First Aid, ESTS.
  • Experience in the Oil and Gas industry in construction or maintenance is considered an asset.
  • Ability to work in various working conditions ranging from outdoors to indoors in a variety of weather conditions and working from heights as needed.
