Job summary

Techmation Electric & Controls Ltd is hiring Industrial Journeyman & Apprentice Instrumentation Technicians for our Grande Prairie branch. This position involves full-time, long-term industrial projects in Western Canada’s oil & gas sector, with travel and shift work required as needed.

The successful candidate will hold a Journeyman Instrument Certificate or be an indentured Instrumentation Apprentice (1st–4th year) and possess mandatory safety certifications and a valid Class 5 driver’s

Techmation works on a variety of industrial oil and gas construction and maintenance projects throughout Western Canada. As a successful applicant, you will have the opportunity to work on full-time, long-term industrial projects with well-established and reputable clients.

Requirements:

• Journeyman Instrument Certificate,OR
• Indentured Instrumentation Apprentice (1st, 2nd, 3rd or 4th Year)
• Applicants interested in being indentured in the trade
• Candidates must have valid Energy Safety Canada H2S Alive and Fall Protection, Standard First Aid (Level A or C with CPR/AED), CSTS 2020 and Driving & Journey Management certificates
• Valid Class 5 drivers license and clean driving record
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
• Must have a flexible work schedule - shiftwork, overtime, weekends, and travel
• Ability to travel would be considered an asset
