Job summary

Linde plc in Brandon, MB, is seeking an Instrumentation and Controls Technician to support the Air Separation Plant by maintaining plant instrumentation and electrical equipment, including control devices, PLCs, analyzers, and transmitters.

You will calibrate critical safety systems, troubleshoot instrumentation, maintain PLCs, manage maintenance work orders, and coordinate with operations. Travel to remote sites is required, with after-hours calls possible to ensure continuous operation.

Qualifications

3–5 years in an industrial plant environment.
Experience with process, electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic systems preferred.
Strong knowledge of Allen Bradley PLCs, Rosemount instruments, and process analyzers.
Ability to read schematic and process diagrams and troubleshoot control systems.
Experience with high/medium voltage switchgear and CMMS.
Proactive planning and scheduling of maintenance; highly organized; able to work with minimal supervision.
Valid driver’s license; able to lift 50 pounds; willing to travel 30–40% to Linde installations.
Excellent communication skills.

Responsibilities

Maintain instrumentation and electrical equipment at the plant.
Calibrate and test safety systems, equipment protection devices, and quality control components.
Troubleshoot and replace defective instrumentation and sensors.
Maintain PLCs, troubleshoot issues, replace cards, update logic as needed.
Manage the preventative maintenance work order system and ensure timely completion.
Order parts, maintain spare parts inventory, update control databases.
Plan and execute plant turnaround work with operations and maintenance teams.
Travel to remote facilities and respond to after-hours service calls.
