Job summary

Linde plc is seeking an Air Separation Plant Operator to operate the Air Separation Plant on 12-hour rotating shifts. You will apply cryogenic process knowledge, monitor equipment, troubleshoot, and ensure safe, efficient plant operations.

This full-time role requires a high-school diploma or SAIT certificate, plus relevant experience; strong computer skills and the ability to work with automated control systems are essential.

Qualifications

  • High-school diploma or GED required; Power/Process Operations Certificate or equivalent.
  • 3–5 years of experience in a process operations role preferred.
  • Ability to obtain 5th Class Power Engineering Certificate within 18 months.

  • Operate the Air Separation Plant in a safe and efficient manner following established work processes.
  • Work 12-hour rotating shifts in a team environment with minimal supervision.
  • Follow operating principles to ensure safe and reliable plant operations.
  • Operate and field-check process equipment, monitor conditions and control systems.
  • Utilize complex plant computer control systems to oversee and adjust operations.
  • Apply troubleshooting to resolve process deviations and perform minor repairs and maintenance.

Air Separation Plant Operator (full time)

The Plant Operator will operate the Air Separation Plant as per designated work processes, utilizing air separation / cryogenic process knowledge and experience to operate and troubleshoot the plant in a safe and efficient manner. You will be able to work in a novel team environment where individuals often set priorities and complete work activities with minimal supervision.

  • Operate the Air Separation Plant in a safe and efficient manner by following established work processes and applying your air separation / cryogenic process knowledge
  • You will work 12-hour rotating shifts in a team environment where you often set priorities and complete work with minimal supervision
  • Follow Operating Discipline principles, procedures, and practices to ensure safe and reliable plant operations
  • In addition, you will operate and field-check process equipment, monitoring process conditions, equipment performance, and control systems
  • Utilize multiple, complex plant computer control systems to oversee and adjust operations
  • You shall apply troubleshooting skills to resolve process-related deviations and problems as they arise
  • Perform basic troubleshooting, minor repairs, improvements, and preventive maintenance on process equipment to help maintain equipment reliability
  • Also, you will use your process knowledge to identify and implement plant performance improvements and coach/train others on plant operations

  • You have a High-school diploma or GED; Power and Process Operations Certificate (SAIT) or equivalent or three to five ( 3–5) years of experience in a process operations role
  • Previous experience in a continuous chemical process environment is an asset
  • Ability to obtain a 5th Class Power Engineering Certificate within 18 months of hire
  • Further, you have strong computer and technical skills with the ability to learn and operate both manual and highly automated process equipment
  • You have the ability to work 12-hour rotating shifts and overtime as required
  • Strong ability to understand, analyze, and resolve technical problems
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills; current and valid driver’s license
  • Physically able to meet the demands of the role: lift up to 60 pounds, climb stairs and ladders, work in tight / confined spaces, and wear all required personal protective equipment
