Job summary

Stantec is seeking an Instrumentation & Controls/Industrial Automation Engineer to join our Energy and Resources consulting team. This role offers growth in consulting-based automation and instrumentation design across mining, power, oil & gas, and renewables.

You will work within a multidisciplinary team across North America, leading and contributing from feasibility through commissioning, with roughly 10% travel to client sites or other offices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering from an accredited University.
• 5–10 years of engineering, design, and construction experience in heavy industry, mining, oil & gas, power generation.
• A Professional Engineering license (or the ability to become licensed).

Responsibilities

• Engineering support for multidisciplinary projects from proposals through design phases (PFS, FS, detailed design).
• Site work including investigations, validation, construction and commissioning support.
• Coordinate with internal teams and clients, review deliverables and participate in design reviews.
