Job summary

Saskatchewan Polytechnic Regina Campus invites applications for an Instructor, Dental Hygiene 0.6 FTE. The role delivers didactic and clinical instruction in the Dental Hygiene program, supervises students, and keeps current with dental hygiene principles and adult education.

Applicants should have a Dental Hygiene degree (or nearing completion), Saskatchewan licensure eligibility, and training in educational theory.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a Dental Hygiene Program and related baccalaureate degree (or be working toward completion).
• Minimum of two years recent dental hygiene experience in a dental office.
• Eligible for registration and licensure as a dental hygienist in Saskatchewan.
• Training in educational theory and methodology.
• Effective communication and instructional ability essential.
• Ability to work as a team member in a changing environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide didactic and clinical instruction and assessment of performance in the Dental Hygiene program.
• Supervise and evaluate students in clinical settings.
• Maintain knowledge of current dental hygiene principles, procedures and techniques and adult education concepts.
• Develop and maintain course curriculum.
• Conduct program administration tasks as required.
• Provide dental hygiene services as needed.
• Support Dental Assisting Program when required.
