Job summary

Options Consulting Solutions seeks an Instructional Designer to design and develop content, assessments, and digital learning products within the LMS (D2L Brightspace). This role owns the full instructional design lifecycle for accreditation and development programs, delivered in virtual and in-person formats.

You will create eLearning modules, videos, facilitator guides, and case studies; manage assessments end-to-end; analyze feedback to improve content and LMS functionality; stay current with

Qualifications

  • Hands-on experience with an LMS (D2L Brightspace a strong asset)
  • Experience designing online, blended, and instructor-led programs grounded in adult learning principles
  • Experience troubleshooting LMS or learning technology issues and recommending practical solutions
  • Strong written communication and documentation skills, including the ability to develop clear learning materials, process documentation, and stakeholder-facing resources
  • Bilingual (English/French) is a plus
  • Excellent organization, multitasking, and attention to detail — you thrive juggling multiple priorities against tight deadlines
  • A collaborative, diplomatic communication style and genuine care for the learner experience

Responsibilities

  • Design, update, and maintain engaging eLearning modules, videos, facilitator guides, workbooks, and case studies
  • Manage assessments end-to-end — from enhancing learner experience to troubleshooting platform issues
  • Analyze course evaluations and learner feedback to continuously improve content and LMS functionality
  • Stay ahead of trends in learning technology, accessibility, and UX to keep our programs current
  • Act as a go-to LMS resource for instructors and learners, providing second-level support when technical issues arise and developing training documentation and best-practice guidance for internal teams
  • Research and recommend enhancements to D2L Brightspace and the organization's broader digital learning experience
  • Create, update, and maintain process documentation supporting learning and LMS workflows
  • Partner closely with a collaborative Instructional Design team and Professional Accreditation colleagues

The Job!

You'll be the critical link between learners, instructors, and our education team - designing and developing content, assessments, and digital learning products within our LMS (D2L Brightspace). You are a resourceful, detail-oriented learning professional who combines instructional design expertise with strong technical aptitude. You enjoy solving problems, improving the learner experience, and managing multiple projects and priorities in a collaborative, deadline-driven environment.

  • Post-secondary education in Adult Education, Instructional Design, or Learning Technology
  • Hands-on experience with an LMS (D2L Brightspace experience a strong asset)
  • A track record designing online, blended, and instructor-led programs grounded in adult learning principles
