We’re looking for a creative and collaborative Instructional Designer to join our People & Culture team. In this role, you’ll help shape the future of learning at Pinchin, transforming ideas into meaningful educational journeys that empower our people to thrive.

About The Role

As a hybrid Instructional Designer, you will work closely with internal partners from your home office to design and implement technical and professional development courses and programs. Occasional site or office visits are required. Your creativity and expertise will play an important part in Pinchin’s evolving learning journey.

What You’ll Do
  1. Budget Management: Monitor and manage budgets for specific learning programs and courses.
  2. Course Development: Research, recommend, develop, and administer various courses and programs.
  3. Content Creation: Design and develop engaging collateral, including videos, eLearnings, infographics, instructor-led training, etc., that align with our standards and branding guidelines.
  4. Learning Asset Maintenance: Independently maintain existing learning assets to ensure they remain current, viable, and usable on our Learning Management System.
  5. Innovative Design: Leverage appropriate delivery modes based on geography, content, and logistical constraints to create impactful learning experiences.
  6. Pilot Sessions: Participate in pilot sessions to evaluate solutions, learner engagement, and identify opportunities for improvement.
  7. Training Evaluation: Monitor training through various evaluative methods to identify areas for enhancement.
  8. Reporting: Provide ad hoc reports on training progress and effectiveness, and support tasks associated with classroom training delivery.
  9. Facilitation: Facilitate sessions as needed, including Train-the-Trainers and soft-skill subjects like Effective Feedback and Communication Skills.
What You’ll Need
  1. Post-secondary education with specialization in training, performance instruction, adult education or equivalent experience.
  2. 2-3 years of content writing experience.
  3. Knowledge of leadership development content is an asset.
  4. Knowledge of Cornerstone OnDemand Learning Management System is an asset.
  5. Excellent verbal English communication and writing skills.
  6. Ability to adapt positively to a changing environment and shifting priorities.
  7. Strong customer service, relationship building, and conflict resolution skills.
  8. Strong analytical, organizational and advanced MS Office skills.
  9. Strong attention to detail, visual design and time management skills.
  10. Experience managing multiple concurrent projects.
  11. Ability to use rapid eLearning development and editing tools (Articulate Storyline, Rise, Adobe, Camtasia etc.) and any other video editing tools will be considered with the right licensing.
  12. Intermediate knowledge and experience with graphic design tools.
  13. Ability to navigate and maintain assets and reporting on our Learning Management System (Cornerstone OnDemand).
