Responsibilities
- Applies adult learning methodologies to deliver instructor-led courses or programs.
- Collaborates with subject matter experts (SMEs) to design and develop curricula.
- Assesses the needs of participants and modifies instructional strategies accordingly.
- Uses rapid authoring tools to develop e-learning supporting instructor-led courses or programs.
- Develops standards, evaluates courses or programs, and implements revisions to enhance quality.
- Provides company-wide support and consultation on learning and development initiatives at PCL.
- Handles analysis, design, development, implementation, evaluation, and maintenance of entry-level to intermediate behavioral and technical courses or programs.
- Prepares course materials, including pre- and post-course work.
- Researches and applies best practices and industry trends.
- Monitors and assesses learners’ development and learning outcomes.
- Acts as project lead for assigned initiatives, applying project and time management principles to track tasks and deadlines for self and team.
- Develops and maintains strong, customer-focused relationships with stakeholders.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline preferred.
- At least 5 years of progressive experience in training delivery and facilitation in a corporate environment preferred.
- Understanding of adult learning theories, instructional design approaches, learner-centric design, and industry developments.
- Ability to deliver instructor-led courses to diverse groups with varying knowledge and backgrounds.
- Ability to work independently or in team settings within a highly matrixed organization.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, multitasking, and prioritization abilities; project management experience is a plus.
- Knowledge of change management methodologies is an asset; intermediate business acumen and industry awareness are desirable.
- Research and analytical skills.
- Ability to build relationships and gain learners’ confidence for effective facilitation.
- Experience in designing and implementing new courses or programs.
