Job summary

Beanfield is hiring for a field installation role across Vancouver, BC. You will travel to customer sites to install and test fibre optic equipment, working on residential and commercial projects, and ensure installations meet Beanfield standards. You’ll troubleshoot, educate customers, and maintain equipment and records.

A detail‑oriented, people‑focused candidate with strong communication skills is sought to deliver outstanding service from first interaction to final installation.

Qualifications

  • A valid Drivers License (Class 5) is a must-have for the role.
  • Maintain a high standard of quality while following the employer’s safety standards and policies.
  • Team player with strong interpersonal skills and a professional manner.
  • Strong analytical skills to recognize and identify potential problems.
  • Must be able to work shift work.

Responsibilities

  • Drive to various customer sites to perform installations
  • Install all associated fibre optic equipment for Residential & Commercial Customers (Internet, VoIP, IPTV)
  • Install, test, troubleshoot and repair as required to Beanfield standards
  • Responsible for providing excellent customer service and educating customers on products and services
  • Ensure the vehicle, test equipment, and tools are maintained in good working condition
  • Collect “as builds” information in a timely manner
  • Administrative duties such as updating tickets, and reports with detailed, accurate information
  • All other duties as assigned.

Actual total compensation will be determined based on factors such as knowledge, skills, performance and experience.The salary range indicated includes a Short Term Incentive Plan (“STIP”) which represents a percentage of your Base Salary based on the achievement of individual and corporate objectives; The STIP payment is calculated based on a formula that takes into account several factors, including, without limitation, corporate and individual performance measures. The STIP payment is conditional upon meeting all of the STIP’s eligibility requirements.
