Job summary

Roofmart, Canada’s national distributor for exterior building supplies, is seeking an Inside Sales / Shipper and Receiver in Kingston, Ontario. You will be the first point of contact in-store or by phone, handle sales transactions, and load products onto company or customer trucks.

The role requires warehouse and forklift experience, a valid forklift license is a plus, and the ability to lift 80-100 lbs. You’ll contribute to safe, efficient warehouse operations and exemplary customer service.

Qualifications

• College diploma and/or 3+ years of Warehouse and Forklift Experience.
• 3+ years of successful retail, business, accounting, or sales experience.
• Valid Forklift License - an asset (training can be provided).
• Ability to lift, push and carry 80-100lbs repeatedly.
• Strong customer service skills.
• Knowledge of the roofing industry would be considered an asset.
• Authorized to work in Canada.

Responsibilities

• The customer’s first point of contact when shopping in-store or calling the branch.
• Completing sales transactions, daily banking reconciliation reports, and purchasing.
• Required to pick, prepare and load purchased product on to the Company truck or load the customer’s truck.
• Required to offload and put away product that is delivered to the branch.
• Responsible for the safe and efficient movement and storage of the product while at the facility.
• Lifting 80lbs and operate a lift truck.
• Responsible for keeping the warehouse clean and organized.
• Demonstrating excellent customer service and strong communication skills as you interact directly with customers.
