Job summary

Russel Metals is seeking an Inside Sales Representative for our Winnipeg East Branch. This full-time role focuses on growing sales, managing multiple product categories, and strengthening customer relationships.

You will coordinate with operations, production, and shipping to meet branch objectives. Ideal candidates have 3-5 years of sales experience, strong communication, and proficiency with Microsoft Office.

Qualifications

• Post-secondary education in business or related discipline.

Responsibilities

We are currently hiring an Inside Sales Representativeat our Winnipeg EastBranch. This is a full-time, permanent job working 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday.

Job Responsibilities:

• Maintain and grow sales & market share consistent with the business plan as developed in conjunction with the Sales Manager. This requires a focus on managing your time effectively with the variety of product categories as well as processing opportunities.
• Identify and maximize all sales and market development opportunities for services we offer and strengthen customer relations.
• Further develop new and existing business through creative approaches such as presentations, product and program offerings, plant tours, etc.
• Develop and maintain existing and prospective customer relationships and act as a liaison between the customer and sales team, operations, production, shipping etc.
• Develop sales opportunities and find new leads through methods such as cold calling, and face to face meetings with the Outside Sales Rep and/or Sales Manager.
• Communicate and collaborate with the leadership team to ensure sufficient product is available to meet customer and branch requirements.
• Assist in managing inventory by ensuring any dedicated product brought in for customers has senior management support and it’s managed in accordance with agreed upon terms with the customer.

Qualifications and Requirements:

• Post-Secondary Education in Business Administration, Commerce or a related discipline preferred.
• 3-5 years of sales experience preferred.
• Outgoing personality with excellent communication skills. Ability to communicate professionally and effectively with your accounts and individuals from all levels of a company.
• Experience coordinating contracts and programs fulfilment throughout all levels of a company.
• Experience with Microsoft Office applications including Excel, Word, and Outlook.
• Project Management experience is considered an asset.
• Experience within a fast-paced environment, managing competing priorities and time managing within that environment.
