Job Description

In collaboration with the purchasing team, the Inside Sales Representative supports buying scrap metal products from representatives on the road. The role involves developing and maintaining outstanding business relationships with new and existing customers.

This position requires a dynamic individual with initiative and the ability to work closely with all staff and departments, as well as with customers and suppliers.

  • Manage existing accounts
  • Add prices, validate products, analyze receipts, and perform formula calculations for pricing agreements
  • Assist in creating P&L statements and monitor account profitability
  • Provide customer service, answer questions, handle complaints, and establish commerce
  • Coordinate deliveries with suppliers and assist dispatchers to ensure good service
  • Monitor competitors' efforts related to our accounts and support strategies to prevent account loss
  • Coordinate with administrative staff and the sales team for accurate documentation of purchase transactions
  • Create and track purchase orders from the CRM
  • Keep customer information up to date in our CRM

Qualifications

To join our team, you should have:

  • 3+ years of sales and/or key account management experience
  • A degree in business administration or a related field
  • Previous experience in the scrap metal industry is an asset
  • Proven ability to establish and nurture relationships
  • Outstanding communication skills; well-organized, team-oriented, and attentive to detail
