Job summary

Russel Metals is seeking an experienced Inside Sales Representative to join our Halifax, NS branch. You will develop and maintain strong customer relationships, understand client needs, and provide tailored metal solutions in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Collaborate with Processing, Warehouse and Shipping Teams to fulfill orders, respond to inquiries, upsell and cross-sell, and stay ahead of industry trends.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of sales experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong analytical, time management and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain strong, long-lasting relationships with customers by understanding their needs and providing tailored solutions.
• Respond to customer inquiries, provide product information, and assist with order processing to ensure seamless buying experience.
• Identify opportunities for upselling and cross-selling, building value for customers while driving sales growth.
• Bring an entrepreneurial spirit to identify and maximize all sales and market development opportunities.
• Work closely with Processing, Warehouse and Shipping Teams to ensure your customers' orders are fulfilled.
• Stay informed about industry trends and customer feedback to anticipate market needs and promote new products effectively.

Skills Required:

Considered an Asset:

• Post-secondary education in the field of Metallurgy, Marketing, or Business Administration.
• Prior sales experience within the steel/non-ferrous industries.
• Previous purchasing experience.
• Ability to read customers' metal processing drawings.
