Job summary

Qualifications

• Demonstrated leadership of teams in a complex, high-security setting.
• Strong knowledge of records management principles and privacy rules.
• Experience interpreting legislation, court orders, and ministry directives.

• Proven collaboration with courts, police, legal counsel and justice partners.

Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee inmate records operations, sentence calculations, and related processes to ensure accuracy and compliance.
• Provide leadership and direction to staff, set expectations, coach, and develop talent.
• Interpret and apply applicable legislation, regulations, and policies affecting inmate records and sentence administration.
• Advise management on complex custody and release decisions, handling sensitive cases with sound judgment.
• Foster relationships with internal and external stakeholders to support coordinated operations.
• Monitor records processes, identify enhancements, and mitigate operational and legal risks.
