Job summary

StepStone Group seeks a Co-op Analyst for its Infrastructure and Real Assets team in Toronto. You will conduct due diligence, analyze markets, and prepare investment recommendations across funds, co-investments, and secondaries.

The role requires full-time in-person work starting January 2027 for 6–8 months, with strong Excel/Word/PowerPoint skills and excellent communication. This is a paid internship with real exposure to private markets.

Qualifications

• Must be legally eligible to work in Canada without visa sponsorship now or in the future.
• Must be able to work full-time hours in-person in Toronto starting January 2027 for 6–8 months.
• Undergraduate, Masters or MBA student graduating anywhere from September 2026 through June 2028.
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Excel.
• Excellent written and verbal communication with demonstrable analytical capabilities and modeling skills.

Responsibilities

• Conduct due diligence on investment opportunities in infrastructure funds, co-investments, and secondary transactions.
• Analyze sectors such as transportation, telecommunications, utilities, power, energy, logistics, renewables, social impact and sustainability.
• Prepare and present recommendations to SIRA’s Investment Committee.
• Assist in creating and adjusting Excel-based financial models for investments.
• Construct and communicate investment recommendations in MS Word and PowerPoint.
• Review financial analyses from target fund managers and support development of fund-related models.
