Qualifications

• BA in Finance, Accounting or related field required. Progress toward CPA is asset.
• Five years of proven experience as a Cost Analyst, Financial Analyst, or similar role.
• Experience in project management or construction industries is a plus.
• Strong analytical and numerical skills.
• Proficiency in financial software and MS Office, with advanced Excel knowledge.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Cost Analysis: analyze project costs and expenses for accurate cost allocation.
• Budget Management: assist in development and management of project forecasts; monitor budgets.
• Financial Reporting: prepare cost structure reports and variance analyses; improve reporting systems.
• Data Management: check and organize data arrays; use financial software to analyze data.
• Cost Tracking: record all project expenses; ensure correct allocations and monitor progress.
• Compliance and Auditing: ensure compliance with regulations; participate in audits with documentation.
• Collaboration and Communication: work with project managers and finance teams to ensure accurate reporting.
• Process Improvement: identify opportunities to improve cost analysis processes and systems.
