Job summary
Denison Mines Corp. seeks a Refrigeration Mechanic to operate and maintain the freeze-plant systems at Wheeler River Phoenix Site. Initial Saskatoon base, with eventual site rotation (2 weeks on/2 weeks off) at the Wheeler River Site in Northern Saskatchewan.
You will apply your Journeyperson Refrigeration expertise to ensure reliable performance, contribute to procedures, and support commissioning activities as the project advances.
Qualifications
- Journeyperson certificate in Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Mechanic; Refrigeration Engineer certificate preferred.
- 10+ years of industrial refrigeration experience.
- Experience with large ammonia compressor systems.
- Plant commissioning experience.
- Experience with DCS/SCADA/PLC control systems.
- Ground freezing experience is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Operate refrigeration and brine distribution modules at Wheeler River Phoenix site
- Lead and perform maintenance on refrigeration systems and freeze piping
- Develop and improve operating procedures and maintenance plans
- Support creation of standard operating procedures
- Lead preventative maintenance planning for refrigeration systems
- Identify maintenance requirements and critical spare parts
- Monitor compressors, chillers, condensers, and evaporators
- Respond to alarms and abnormal readings in real time
- Conduct scheduled inspections and maintenance of refrigeration equipment
