G. A. Enns Industrial Refrigeration Ltd in the Kitchener area is seeking an experienced Refrigeration B Operator or 4th Class Operating Engineer for a permanent, full-time role.

You will operate, monitor, and maintain industrial ammonia refrigeration equipment as part of a maintenance team. The ideal candidate will hold a valid B Operator or 4th Class certificate with TSSA, have hands-on experience with ammonia systems, and demonstrate strong troubleshooting, mechanical, and record-keeping

Qualifications

• Valid Refrigeration "B" Operator or 4th Class certificate in good standing with TSSA.
• Experience operating industrial ammonia refrigeration systems.
• Strong troubleshooting and mechanical aptitude.
• Excellent communication and record-keeping skills.
• Ability to work well in a maintenance team.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate the ammonia refrigeration system.
• Monitor system pressures, temperatures and refrigerant levels.
• Maintain accurate operating, inspection and maintenance logs.
• Perform routine preventative maintenance on refrigeration equipment.
• Assist with troubleshooting and repairs as required.
• Communicate repairs and concerns to the maintenance team.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and SOPs.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment.

Job description

Enns Industrial Refrigeration is a family-owned and operated company specializing in industrial refrigeration systems. We are seeking an experienced Refrigeration B Operator or 4th Class Operating Engineer for a permanent, full-time position at an industrial facility in the Kitchener area.

The successful candidate will work as part of the facility's maintenance team and will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of the industrial ammonia refrigeration system. The position also includes routine maintenance and troubleshooting of refrigeration equipment.

Key Responsibilities

• Safely and efficiently operate the facility's ammonia refrigeration system.
• Monitor refrigeration equipment, system pressures, temperatures and refrigerant levels.
• Complete and maintain accurate operating, inspection and maintenance logs.
• Perform routine preventative maintenance on refrigeration systems and related equipment.
• Assist with troubleshooting and repairs as required.
• Identify equipment concerns and communicate required repairs to the maintenance team.
• Ensure compliance with applicable health and safety regulations, environmental standards and operating procedures.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment.

Qualifications

• Valid Refrigeration "B" Operator or 4th Class Operating Engineer certificate in good standing with TSSA.
• Previous experience operating industrial ammonia refrigeration systems.
• Strong knowledge of industrial refrigeration equipment and operating procedures.
• Mechanical aptitude and strong troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a maintenance team.
• Strong communication, organizational and record-keeping skills.
• Valid driver's licence.
