Dawn Staffing Solutions Inc. is seeking a Refrigeration B Operator for a manufacturing client in the Kitchener-Waterloo, ON area.

The role involves night shift operation of the refrigeration and related plant systems, with focus on safety, compliance and efficient performance. The ideal candidate holds a Refrigeration B / Millwright license, has 2–5 years of industrial mechanical experience, and can work with ammonia refrigeration systems, contractors, and production teams.

Qualifications

• Valid Refrigeration B / Millwright license is required.
• 2-5 years industrial mechanical experience.
• Experience with ammonia refrigeration systems is required.
• Knowledge of GMP, HACCP, WHMIS and MSDS standards preferred.
• Strong problem solving and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate operation of heating, ventilation, refrigeration and air-conditioning systems.
• Operate/monitor industrial ammonia refrigeration system.
• Follow SOPs and comply with health, safety and environmental regulations.
• Collaborate with outside contractors and inspectors.
• Perform regular facility inspections and daily readings/logs.
• Provide maintenance and troubleshooting for electrical and mechanical equipment.
• Ensure equipment is serviced as required and track PM activities.
• Promote health and safety initiatives in the workplace.
