Job summary

B&G Industrial Services Ltd. in Ontario is seeking an Industrial Mechanical Millwright to build and repair machinery, install and maintain equipment, and ensure safety compliance.

The role involves setting up machines per blueprints, moving machinery as needed, and collaborating with engineers or construction teams. Applicants should have millwright certification or be in an apprenticeship, plus hands-on experience with construction equipment and knowledge of OSHA standards.

Qualifications

• Millwright certification or in-apprenticeship program required.
• Hands-on experience with construction equipment and machinery.
• Knowledge of safety standards and PPE use.
• Ability to work independently and in teams.
• Able to communicate both verbally and in writing.
• Familiarity with OSHA regulations.

Responsibilities

• Build and repair industrial and construction machinery.

• Disassemble machine parts for transport or repair and reassemble.

Job description

On a daily basis, as an Industrial Mechanical Millwright you’ll use specialized tools to build and repair machines. You’ll set up machinery based on highly technical instructions and blueprints and occasionally move machines to different locations. You are responsible to install, inspect, cleaning, lubricating, adjusting and repairing equipment while ensuring that all machines operate properly and our facilities remain safe, all while following all health and safety policies. (Please see attached the Classification Grid requirements noting the salary eligibility for each criteria level)

Roles and Responsibilities

• Build new industrial and construction machinery
• Install, inspect, adjust, clean, and lubricate equipment
• Disassemble machine parts when transporting or repairing them, and reassemble the parts
• Collaborate with construction workers or engineers when using the machines
• Align equipment by using specialized tools
• Collect and store machinery parts
• Choose appropriate tools for the task
• Maintain equipment in a condition that does not compromise safety
• Follow all health and safety procedures
• Identifying hazards or potential hazards
• Other job duties as required

Requirements and Skills

• Certification as a Millwright or in the process of an apprenticeship program is required
• Hands-on experience with construction equipment and machinery
• Knowledge of relative safety standards and willingness to use protective clothing (face shield, gloves etc.)
• Work effectively in different environments
• Able to communicate both verbally and in writing
• Ability to work independently and in teams
• Familiarity with safety standards and OSHA regulations.

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS

Wage: CA$45,000.00 - CA$70,000.00 per year

Overtime: Paid in accordance with Ontario Employment Standards Act

WORK SCHEDULE

Monday's-Thursday's (7am-5pm) & Friday's (7am-1pm) (44 hours/week)
