Our client in Ontario is seeking a hands-on Maintenance Millwright to support safe, reliable production equipment. This day-shift role targets candidates with 1–2 years of relevant experience who enjoy troubleshooting, preventive maintenance and hands-on repairs.

Responsibilities include preventive and breakdown maintenance on extrusion machinery and pumps, reading schematics, performing fabrications, and supporting equipment installation.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of millwright or industrial maintenance experience.
• Able to read mechanical drawings, schematics and manuals.
• Professional approach to safety and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative and breakdown maintenance on production machinery and equipment.
• Troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
• Maintain and repair equipment including extrusion machinery, pumps, compressors, blowers, gearboxes, chain and belt drives, bearings and valves.
• Perform mechanical installations, equipment repairs and component replacement.
• Read and interpret mechanical drawings, schematics and technical manuals.
• Complete fabrication work including welding, grinding, drilling and cutting.
• Assist with equipment installation, mechanical assembly and rigging.
• Participate in scheduled shutdown maintenance and equipment inspections.
• Follow all safety procedures, including lockout/tagout requirements.
• Maintain accurate maintenance and repair records.

About Our Client

Our client is an established manufacturing organization seeking a hands‑on Maintenance Millwright to support the safe and reliable operation of production equipment and plant systems. This is a day‑shift opportunity for a mechanically strong maintenance professional with approximately 1–2 years of relevant experience who enjoys troubleshooting, preventative maintenance and hands‑on equipment repair.

Responsibilities

• 433A Industrial Mechanic Millwright licence is preferred but not required.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and hands‑on troubleshooting skills.
• Experience with preventative maintenance and mechanical repairs.
• Knowledge of hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
• Ability to read mechanical drawings, schematics and technical documentation.
• Experience with welding, rigging or equipment installation is an asset.
• Manufacturing experience is preferred; plastic extrusion experience is considered an asset.
• Candidates currently working toward their millwright licence or completing a related trades program will be considered.
• Strong communication, teamwork and problem‑solving skills.
• Reliable, flexible and willing to learn.

Work Schedule

5.5 days per week - Monday to Friday, 8:00 a.m.–4:30 p.m., plus Saturday 8:00 a.m.–12:00 p.m.
