Job summary

North West Rubber in Brantford, Ontario is seeking motivated individuals to join our maintenance team at the fully automated plant. The role focuses on safe operation, preventative maintenance, and hands-on support of robotics and machinery.

Apprentices in 3rd or 4th year are encouraged to apply as you will work closely with Millwrights to keep production running. We value teamwork, reliability and a strong work ethic.

Qualifications

• Must possess mechanical abilities.
• 3 or 4th year apprentice.
• Able to work with minimal supervision.
• Able to follow instructions and prioritize tasks.
• Able to perform shift work.
• Must work well in a team-oriented environment.
• Must follow the North West Rubber Core Values: Respect for All, Own It and Results Focused.

Responsibilities

• Perform safe work practices as well as safe operation of vehicles, power tools and equipment.
• Assist Millwrights in the construction, installation, repair and maintenance of industrial machinery and mechanical equipment, including robotics.
• Perform preventative maintenance program of the fully automated plant.
• Trouble shoot and maintain plant equipment.
• Check forms of communication daily regarding repairs needed.
• Record and document all servicing.
• Maintain inventory of spare parts necessary to repair machinery.
• Perform other work-related duties as assigned.
• Be a good team player.
