This position is responsible for performing on-site installation and maintenance services of systems and equipment, including ongoing preventive maintenance, repair, and calibration after installation under Field Specialist supervision. The role involves managing resources and logistics required to perform services and maintenance activities on customers' sites, mainly within the Canada region. These activities contribute to maintaining, repairing, and refurbishing sold or existing products, including all types of maintenance services (preventive and remedial), managing maintenance facilities, and field services engineering.

As a Millwright, You Will Be Responsible For
  • Performing all on-site (Customer or Baker Hughes site) life extension, repair, and inspection-related service activities, including onsite machining, NDT, blading, winding, critical welding, generator diagnostics.
  • Working with hydraulic tooling devices, control fixtures, disassembling and reassembling machinery, rigging, and lifting.
  • Reading and understanding mechanical drawings and specifications in detail, including Instrument Specifications and mechanical auxiliaries.
  • Ideally being certified as an apprentice industrial mechanic (millwright) or in the process of obtaining such certification.
Fuel Your Passion
To Be Successful in This Role, You Will
  • Have a 2-year technical degree or related education, along with 4+ years of millwright experience related to mechanics, mechatronics, or electromechanics.
  • Have 2+ years of experience with Baker Hughes or similar equipment, including site operation, commissioning, and start-up.
  • Be capable of working under pressure, demonstrating clear thinking and decisiveness. Possess strong team player skills.
  • Have knowledge of turbine generators and/or compressor equipment, with strong knowledge of rotating equipment installation and maintenance.
  • Be ideally certified as an apprentice industrial mechanic (millwright) or in the process of certification.
  • Able and willing to work on Field Service outages 60-70% of the time, including projects in the Americas region, both on-shore and off-shore sites.
  • Able to lift up to 50 lbs and be physically capable in a manufacturing environment.
