Job Summary

The Aircraft Maintenance Technician – Structures is responsible for installing, repairing, maintaining, assembling, troubleshooting, testing, and fabricating aircraft parts using approved data, ensuring compliance with company policies, maintaining a clean workspace, providing training to junior operators, reporting defects and improvements, completing documentation, and supporting a positive workplace culture while meeting commitments and adhering to all rules and procedures.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform modification, installation, repair, maintenance, assembly, troubleshooting, testing, and fabrication of aircraft systems.
  • Perform systems installation tasks under supervision of a licensed Technician in a production environment.
  • Assemble and fabricate parts using drawings, task cards, and approved data, following policies and procedures.
  • Complete tasks and inspections as directed, maintaining accurate documentation.
  • Ensure workspace and tools are clean, safe, and compliant with standards.
  • Provide technical training to junior staff as needed.
  • Update build status, report defects, deviations, and work stoppages.
  • Maintain efficiency, identify improvements, and report errors.
  • Enforce safety practices and ensure airworthiness compliance.
  • Disassemble, inspect, and recommend repairs for parts and components.
  • Maintain traceability of parts installed or removed.
  • Operate ground support equipment safely and effectively.
Qualifications
  • 3-5 years' experience working on Dash 8, Twin Otter, or similar aircraft.
  • Current or working towards a Transport Canada AME “S” license or related experience.
  • Positive attitude, strong work ethic, organizational skills, and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team.
  • Basic computer skills and good communication skills.
  • Experience with De Havilland aircraft is an asset.
Physical Requirements
  • Work hours: Monday – Friday, 0600-1430.
  • Ability to work in confined spaces, at heights, and lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to obtain a Transport Canada RAIC.
