Job summary

American Iron & Metal (AIM) is seeking an experienced Industrial Mechanic to join our evening shift team in Lévis. This permanent, full-time role runs Monday to Thursday, 1:00 p.m.

to 11:30 p.m., with a focus on preventive maintenance and timely repairs of conveyors, grinders, shredders, and other heavy equipment. You will diagnose mechanical issues, replace worn parts, and participate in upgrades while maintaining a clean, safe workspace in line with SST policies.

Qualifications

• Strong experience in maintenance, repair, and adjustment of mechanical equipment such as conveyors, grinders, shredders, vibrating tables, hydraulic systems, and presses.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance, repairs, adjustments, alignments, and servicing of various equipment (conveyor, grinder, shredder, vibrating table, hydraulic system, press).
• Diagnose mechanical issues, breakdowns, and failures.
• Inspect for wear, repair or replace defective parts, components, or systems.
• Test repaired equipment to verify performance and ensure compliance.
• Assist in troubleshooting to improve equipment efficiency and functionality.
• Carry out installation and upgrades of new machines or equipment.
• Complete work orders and follow up as necessary.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
• Work safely and in compliance with health & safety (SST) policies and company procedures.
