Job summary

FuzeHR is seeking a Maintenance Technician (Millwright) to support operations at our Langley plant and packaging facility. You will perform daily maintenance, install and commission machinery, read blueprints, and troubleshoot PLC/HMI systems to keep production running smoothly.

The ideal candidate will have Red Seal Millwright certification (or strong equivalent), 3+ years in a production environment, and familiarity with GMP/HACCP/Lean practices.

Qualifications

• Red Seal Millwright certification or strong equivalent experience.
• 3+ years in a production and/or packaging environment.
• GMP/HACCP/CCP/Lean/5S/SOP/TPM/WHMIS knowledge.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.
• Strong troubleshooting and communication skills.
• Assets: Working at Heights, Confined Space, Aerial Platform.
• Familiarity with PLCs, thermal imaging, vibration analysis, ultrasound is a plus.
• MS Office proficiency (Word/Excel/PowerPoint).

Responsibilities

• Perform daily maintenance tasks including adjusting, installing, optimizing, and repairing equipment.
• Set up and commission new or refurbished machinery.
• Read and interpret technical manuals and blueprints.
• Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical systems, including PLCs and HMIs.
• Identify and implement improvements to production machinery.
• Respond to breakdowns quickly to minimize downtime.
• Complete work orders from start to finish and maintain records.
• Support teammates in the maintenance department when needed.
• Travel to other locations for assessments or repairs as required.

What You’ll Be Doing:

• Perform daily maintenance tasks including adjusting, installing, optimizing, and repairing a wide range of production equipment.
• Set up and commission new or refurbished machinery.
• Read and interpret complex technical manuals and blueprints.
• Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical systems, including PLCs, HMIs, and low-voltage controls.
• Identify and implement improvements to food processing machinery.
• Respond to breakdowns quickly and efficiently to minimize downtime.
• Complete work orders from start to finish and maintain accurate records.
• Support your teammates in the maintenance department when needed.
• Travel to other locations for assessments or repairs as required.

What You Bring:

• Red Seal Millwright Certification (Interprovincial or AB/ON/BC) ideal, but we will consider candidates presenting strong experience and technical skills in lieu
• Red Seal Electricians or Instrumentation Techs with strong mechanical aptitude and relevant experience will also be considered.
• 3+ years of experience within a relevant production and/or packaging environment.
• Solid understanding of GMP, HACCP, CCP, Lean, 5S, SOP, TPM, WHMIS principles.
• Comfortable working independently and in a team setting.
• Strong troubleshooting, organizational, and communication skills.
• Certifications in Working at Heights, Confined Space, and Aerial Platform are assets.
• Familiarity with PLCs, thermal imaging, vibration analysis, and ultrasound is a plus.
• Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
