ADI International (PEI) operates the Central Compost Facility in Brookfield, PEI, seeking an Industrial Maintenance Millwright. This permanent, full-time role covers preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on production and heavy equipment within a manufacturing facility.

The ideal candidate will handle conveyors, motors, electrical components, and safety procedures, reporting to the operations manager.

Qualifications

• 5 years' experience in industrial maintenance or a similar setting.
• Experience with preventive maintenance, troubleshooting and repairs on heavy equipment.
• Ability to read and follow equipment manuals, maintenance instructions and safety procedures.
• Ability to work safely at heights and in confined spaces after training.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine preventive maintenance, inspections, adjustments and repairs on production and facility equipment.
• Troubleshoot and maintain conveyor belts and related components including tracking, tensioning and drives.
• Inspect and repair electric motors and associated equipment.
• Respond to equipment breakdowns and help restore operations safely and efficiently.
• Identify equipment concerns and communicate maintenance needs to the operations manager.
• Involved in projects and new equipment installations.
• Maintain a clean, organized work area and follow safety procedures.
• Work independently and with production staff and contractors.

Industrial Maintenance Millwright– Manufacturing Facility

Position Type: Full-time | Reports To: Operations Manager

Position Summary
ADI International (PEI) operates the Central Compost Facility located in Brookfield, PE. The Central Compost Facility is designed to convert organic waste into a high-quality soil amendment. Our facility is seeking a Industrial Maintenance Millwright. The position is permanent, full-time and will commence immediately. We are seeking a dependable, safety-minded Millwright to support the operations of our manufacturing facility. This hands-on position performs preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and general repairs on production and heavy equipment. The successful candidate will be comfortable working with conveyor systems, electric motors, heavy equipment and basic electrical components while responding effectively to day-to-day maintenance needs.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform routine preventive maintenance, inspections, adjustments, and repairs on manufacturing and facility equipment.
• Troubleshoot and maintain conveyor belts, including tracking, tensioning, rollers, bearings, drives, and related components.
• Inspect, troubleshoot, and assist with the repair or replacement of electric motors and associated equipment.
• Respond to equipment breakdowns and help restore operations safely and efficiently.
• Identify equipment concerns and communicate maintenance needs to the operations manager.
• Involvement in projects and new equipment installations.
• Maintain a clean, organized work area and follow all company safety procedures.
• Work independently and cooperatively with production employees and contractors.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• 5 years' experience.
• Practical experience with general equipment maintenance in a manufacturing, industrial, agricultural, or similar environment.
• Experience maintaining and troubleshooting conveyor belts and related mechanical systems.
• Working knowledge of electric motors and basic electrical systems.
• General mechanical knowledge and the ability to diagnose equipment problems.
• Ability to read and follow equipment manuals, maintenance instructions, and safety procedures.
• Ability to work safely at heights and in confined spaces after completing required training.
• Strong reliability, attention to detail, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to perform the physical duties of the position safely.

Qualifications Considered an Asset

• Basic welding skills.
• Basic electrical.
• Valid Class 3 driver's license.
• Experience maintaining or repairing heavy equipment.
• Experience operating heavy equipment.
• Additional industrial maintenance, electrical, millwright, or mechanical training.

Training Provided
