Job summary

AAA Canada in Mirabel (QC) is hiring an Industrial Leader to manage the full lifecycle of supplier aeronautical products. You will represent Manufacturing Engineering in Procurement teams, provide technical expertise, and support supplier capability studies.

The ideal candidate has 8–10 years in aerospace manufacturing, a degree in industrial, mechanical, aerospace, or manufacturing engineering, and APQP/Lean/Six Sigma experience. Knowledge of PPAP, FAI, AS9100, and SAP/PLM tools is a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in industrial, mechanical, aerospace, or manufacturing engineering.
• Member of the Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec (important asset).
• Training or certification in APQP, Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or supplier management (asset).

Responsibilities

• Represent Manufacturing Engineering within Procurement multifunctional teams (MFT).
• Provide technical expertise and support for supplier selection and capability studies.
• Monitor and support suppliers on new industrialisations and transfers of work (APQP).
• Ensure application of FU.IN.06 processes and reference documents by operations teams.
• Minimize industrial risks and eradicate non-conformances and concessions.

Main responsibilities

Their responsibilities cover the complete life cycle of supplier aeronautical products across all aeronautical programs: Represent Manufacturing Engineering within Procurement multifunctional teams (Procurement MFT), where they provide technical expertise, support for supplier selection (call for tenders), and studies on supplier capabilities. Monitor and support suppliers on new industrialisations, Transfers of Work with APQP Key Business Deliverables evaluations. Ensure the application of the FU.IN.06 process and reference documents by operational Manufacturing Engineering teams. Minimize industrial risks at suppliers, guarantee industrial performance and competitiveness by fostering innovation and process improvement. Eradicate non-quality (non-conformances, concessions).

Job Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in industrial, mechanical, aerospace, or manufacturing engineering.
• Member of the Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec (important asset).
• Training or certification in APQP, Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or supplier management (asset).

Experience

• Minimum of 8 to 10 years of experience in an aerospace manufacturing environment.
• Significant experience in industrialisation, aerospace structure manufacturing, or supply chain management.
• Participation in production transfers (Transfer of Work) or New Product Introduction (NPI).
• Experience in evaluating and monitoring APQP Key Business Deliverables.

Technical skills

• Good knowledge of major aerospace structures (fuselage, wings, empennages, doors, structural panels, etc.).
• Mastery of industrialisation and ramp-up processes.
• In-depth knowledge of aerospace quality processes:
  • APQP
  • PPAP
  • FAI (AS9102)
  • AS9100
  • Management of non-conformances and concessions
• Experience in industrial risk analysis and mitigation plan.
• Good understanding of procurement and call for tenders processes.
• Ability to perform industrial capacity evaluations at suppliers.
• Knowledge of continuous improvement methods (Lean, Kaizen, Six Sigma).
• Mastery of the Microsoft Office suite, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
• Knowledge of SAP, Skywise, or PLM tools is an asset.
