Job summary

GrizzlyTrek Group is hiring Industrial Skilled Labourers and Apprentice Pipefitters for our client in Lamont, Alberta. This full-time permanent role combines shop and field work with a 10 days on / 4 days off schedule, and a path to indentured apprenticeship in pipefitting or another trade.

You must live within 100 km of Lamont and be physically capable of lifting 50 lbs, with a valid Class 5 licence and safety tickets preferred. Camp or LOA is provided for out-of-town assignments.

Qualifications

• Live within 100 km of Lamont.
• Valid Class 5 driver's licence with a clean abstract.
• Willing to travel out of town; camp/LOA provided.
• Physically fit and able to lift 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Work in the shop and in the field, supporting the crew as needed.
• Assist pipefitters with fit-up: measure, cut, bevel, grind and move pipe.
• Learn the pipefitting trade under journeyman direction and read drawings.
• Operate equipment as trained, including skid steer.
• Troubleshoot equipment and keep material and work areas organized.
• Participate in hazard assessments and safety meetings; travel to out-of-town jobs.
