Job summary

GrizzlyTrek Group is hiring Industrial Skilled Labourers and Apprentice Pipefitters for our client’s shop in Lamont, Alberta. This full-time permanent role offers a 10 days on, 4 days off schedule, with a path to indentured apprenticeship in pipefitting or related trades.

Applicants must live within 100 km of Lamont, have a valid Class 5 license with a clean abstract, and be prepared for long days, lifting up to 50 lbs. Camp or LOA is provided for out-of-town work when required.

Qualifications

• Live within 100 km of Lamont and eligible to work in Canada.
• Valid Class 5 driver’s license with clean abstract.
• Willing to train toward apprenticeship in pipefitting or related trades.
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs and work long days when required.

Responsibilities

• Work in shop and field as needed.
• Assist pipefitters with fit-up: measure, cut, bevel, grind and move pipe, valves and fittings.
• Read drawings and learn the pipefitting trade under journeyman guidance.
• Operate equipment (e.g., skid steer) as trained.
• Participate in hazard assessments and safety meetings; travel for out-of-town jobs when required.
