Job summary

Johnson Controls Canada is seeking a Journeyman Plumber to install, maintain and repair plumbing and HVAC systems in a large manufacturing environment. You will work safely with air lines, gas lines, water pipes, and sewer utilities while supporting compressors and vacuum pumps.

The role requires technical training and industrial plumbing credentials, with supervisory duties for apprentices and a strong emphasis on safety and documentation.

Qualifications

• Completion of college/CEGEP/vocational or technical training preferred.
• Industrial plumbing credentials and ongoing Red Seal certification.
• Ability to work independently in a busy environment.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Installs and maintains plumbing and HVAC-related systems in a manufacturing setting.
• Reviews blueprints and ensures installations meet specifications and safety standards.
• Tends to plumbing, air, and vacuum issues to keep production equipment running.
• Performs maintenance and preventative maintenance on plumbing, heating, and air systems.
• Oversees junior employees and apprentices, inspecting their work.
