Job summary

BGIS seeks an experienced Journeyperson Plumber to operate facility systems, perform maintenance, and service mechanical and electrical equipment at the assigned facility in Canada. The role requires a valid provincial Journeyman plumbing license and at least five years of documented plumbing experience, with a strong emphasis on safety and regulatory compliance.

You will interpret blueprints, size piping, install and test piping systems, and ensure asset integrity and uptime in line with

Qualifications

Minimum of 5 years’ experience required as a licensed Plumber.
Must hold a valid Journeyman level Plumbing license issued by the province in which the work is performed.
Strong ability to adhere and to properly execute processes and practices relating to facility operations and maintenance.

Responsibilities

Determines piping system requirements and pipe sizing.
Measures, cuts, threads and bends pipes to required shape and size.
Interprets blueprints, drawings and specifications to map layout of plumbing system, water supply network and waste and drainage systems in residential and commercial buildings.
Installs, replaces and repairs valves, pump and all others of piping system, fixtures and equipment.
Tests pipes for leaking and other problems.
