Placements24 is seeking an Industrial Equipment Installer to join our Kimberley team. You will install, configure, and test industrial machinery at client sites, following blueprints and specs with precision.

This role requires reading technical drawings, strong problem-solving, and a focus on safety and quality. You will collaborate with project managers and clients to coordinate installation schedules, provide initial training, and ensure equipment operates reliably after handover.

About the Role

Our client is seeking a skilled Industrial Equipment Installer to join their team in Kimberley, Northern Cape . This role focuses on the precise installation, setup, and initial testing of various types of industrial machinery and equipment at client sites. You will work closely with engineering teams and clients to ensure that installations are completed according to specifications, on time, and safely. This position requires a meticulous approach to work, a strong understanding of mechanical systems, and the ability to troubleshoot effectively. Contributing to the operational efficiency of businesses in the Kimberley region is a key aspect of this role.

Key Responsibilities

• Install, assemble, and configure industrial machinery and equipment according to blueprints and technical specifications.
• Perform initial testing and calibration of newly installed equipment.
• Ensure all installations are conducted safely and in compliance with relevant regulations.
• Troubleshoot and resolve any mechanical or electrical issues encountered during the installation process.
• Collaborate with project managers and clients to coordinate installation schedules and requirements.
• Provide basic operational guidance and support to clients post-installation.

Requirements

• Proven experience as an Industrial Equipment Installer or in a similar mechanical installation role.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and the ability to read and interpret technical drawings and manuals.
• Proficiency with a variety of hand and power tools.
• Knowledge of industrial safety procedures and practices.
• Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently or as part of a team on projects in and around Kimberley .
