About the Role

Our client is looking for a skilled and reliable Farm Machinery Mechanic to maintain and repair their fleet of agricultural equipment in the Kimberley region. This role is essential for ensuring the optimal performance and longevity of tractors, harvesters, implements, and other farm machinery. You will be responsible for routine maintenance, diagnostics, and complex repairs, both in the workshop and in the field. This is a hands‑on position for a qualified mechanic with experience in heavy machinery, serving the agricultural community of the Northern Cape.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform routine preventive maintenance on all farm machinery and equipment.
• Diagnose mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical issues and perform necessary repairs.
• Service and repair tractors, harvesters, planters, sprayers, and other agricultural implements.
• Maintain accurate records of all maintenance and repair work performed.
• Order and manage spare parts inventory as needed.
• Ensure all machinery is operated safely and meets operational standards.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Mechanic, preferably with specialization in heavy equipment or agricultural machinery.
• Proficiency in diagnosing and repairing diesel engines, hydraulics, and electrical systems.
• Ability to read technical manuals and schematics.
• Strong problem‑solving skills and attention to detail.
• Valid driver's license; ability to operate various types of farm machinery is a plus.
