Job summary

Maple Leaf Foods is seeking a skilled Maintenance Electrician for our Port Perry facility. You will perform preventive maintenance on industrial electrical systems and equipment, troubleshoot complex controls, and ensure compliance with GMP/HACCP and safety standards.

You will read drawings, repair motors, VFDs, and wiring, while collaborating with automation engineers to optimize plant performance and reliability.

Qualifications

• Red Seal Certification with industrial field experience preferred.
• Knowledge of electrical design, pneumatics, hydraulics, and control systems.
• Ability to collaborate with automation engineers and operate production equipment.

Responsibilities

• Conduct predictive and preventive maintenance with documented records.
• Troubleshoot and repair industrial electrical/electronic control systems.
• Read and interpret drawings, blueprints, and electrical code specs for installations.
• Perform wiring, testing, and commissioning of electrical components.
• Maintain safety, GMP, HACCP and health requirements in all tasks.
