Job summary

Maple Leaf Foods in Port Perry, Ontario, is seeking a Red Seal Electrician with industrial experience to join our maintenance team. You will perform predictive and preventive maintenance, troubleshoot electrical and control systems, and support production equipment to minimize downtime.

The role requires strong reading of electrical schematics, collaboration with automation engineers, and a commitment to safety and quality in a food production environment.

Qualifications

• Red Seal Certification (Ontario Electrician) with 3+ years industrial experience.
• Knowledge of electrical design, techniques and tools, with pneumatics and hydraulics experience.
• Ability to collaborate with automation engineers.

Responsibilities

• Engage in progressive maintenance programs and predictive maintenance practices.
• Troubleshoot and fix identified maintenance issues and carry out corrective actions.
• Read drawings, blueprints, and electrical schematics to plan installations.
• Perform preventive maintenance and update maintenance records in SAP.
• Install, test, repair and maintain electrical motors, drives, and control systems.
• Ensure operations follow GMP, HACCP and WHMIS health & safety standards.
