Job summary

NextStar Energy in Windsor, Ontario is seeking a skilled Equipment Electrician to maintain and repair automated production equipment. You will troubleshoot PLC-controlled systems, read schematics, and perform preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance to minimize downtime.

The role requires an Industrial Electrician Certificate (442A) with 3–5 years in manufacturing maintenance, strong safety practices, and CMMS experience. Join a team focused on reliability and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3–5 years in industrial manufacturing maintenance.
• Experience troubleshooting automated manufacturing equipment.
• Ability to read electrical schematics and control drawings.
• Working knowledge of Lockout/Tagout procedures and safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and repair electrical faults on automated production equipment.
• Perform preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance on production equipment.
• Diagnose failures in PLC-controlled machinery and related components.
• Coordinate with OEMs and maintenance teams during equipment modifications.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records in CMMS and ensure safe restart of production.
• Adhere to ESA/CSA safety standards and 5S practices.
