Job summary

Maple Leaf Foods Port Perry is seeking an experienced electrician/maintenance professional to join our team. You will participate in predictive maintenance, troubleshoot issues, and execute corrective actions across electrical and control systems.

You will work with automation engineers, operate machinery and drive systems, and ensure compliance with GMP, HACCP, and WHMIS while maintaining safety standards. Overtime and union support are part of the package.

Qualifications

Red Seal Certification (Ontario Electrician) with industrial field experience preferred.
Knowledge of electrical design, pneumatics, hydraulics.
Ability to collaborate with automation engineers.
Operate production equipment and evaluate performance.
Extensive knowledge of plant/process equipment operations.
Smart, proactive maintenance mindset.
Familiarity with GMP/HACCP/WHMIS and safety policies.

Responsibilities

Be deeply involved in progressive maintenance routines with a predictive approach.
Troubleshoot and execute corrective maintenance requirements.
Carry out documented work requests and apply corrective action.
Perform work orders and account for inventory and labour in SAP.
Read drawings and interpret electrical code specifications for layouts.
Conduct preventive maintenance and update maintenance records.
Maintain electrical motors, drives, generators, and control systems.
