Job summary

ECL Group of Companies in Calgary, AB is seeking a Mechanical Design Technologist for a 6-9 month contract. You will develop and revise 2D/3D drawings using SolidWorks and AutoCAD for industrial equipment and facilities, while keeping BOMs and technical records up to date.

You will collaborate with engineers, vendors and fabrication shops to translate requirements into precise drawings, support procurement, and ensure project milestones are met with strong attention to detail.

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in Mechanical Engineering Technology, Industrial Technology, or a related discipline.
• 2+ years of experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment.
• Experience with industrial facilities, manufacturing plants, or heavy industry is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Create and maintain 2D and 3D engineering drawings using SolidWorks and AutoCAD.
• Develop fabrication, assembly, and installation drawings for industrial equipment and facility projects.
• Prepare BOMs and supporting technical documentation.
• Coordinate with engineers, vendors and fabrication shops to translate requirements into drawings.
